Black And White
Black and white has no color, as it is a simple template for coloring in the project.
Complementary
A complementary color scheme uses colors from opposite sides of the color wheel.  I chose a green color as the base, so I was able to use different shades of green with different shades of red.
Triad
A triad color scheme uses 3 different colors equally spread about the color wheel.  With a dark green background, the sugar skull had flowers that had colors that represented flowers.
Monochromatic
A monochromatic color scheme uses the same color, but different shades of that color.  With this sugar skull, I used blue for the background and added different shades to shapes on the skull.
One new thing I learned from this project is the use of recolor artwork.  Using this with the color wheel made it much easier for me to color 3 different sugar skulls.  The most challenging part of this project was creating the shapes for the sugar skull such as the suns and the flowers.  I had to learn new techniques in order to create these shapes.
